Lake Street United Methodist Church

Lake Street UMC - in the heart of Eau Claire - with a heart for Eau Claire....

Lake Street United Methodist Church is a congregation as passionate about our history in Eau Claire, as it is about serving the community we are part of:

We support people of all ages and all stages of their faith journey: those people both new to faith and lifelong learners as well, all experiencing God's grace together.

We are blessed with many gifted people who share their gifts in ministry - lay leadership, musicians, teachers and craftsmen…
We support many community service projects, with hearts ready to care.

We are blessed to be in ministry in Eau Claire.

Lake Street's people offer care and prayers for each other and anyone God calls to be here as we grow together in faith.
The bulletin for this Sunday can be found here.

Announcements

P.A.C.K. Event Saturday, August 27th from 9:30 - 11:30am

The plan is to meet at church at 9:30, pack up the popsicles in coolers, place the coolers in wagons and off we go!  We will walk to Owen Park, then get on the bike trail and head to Phoenix Park and the Farmers Market; all the while giving out a little bit of kindness - a cold popsicle, hopefully on a warm morning.
If you would like to be a part of this outreach to the community, please contact Chris Draxler at 715 225-2983 or by e-mail at ministrycoor@lakestreetumc.org
Upcoming September Events

Sunday, September 11, Kick-off Sunday!

  • We return to 2 services:  8:30 and 10:00 a.m.  Sunday School also resumes during late service.  Please plan to stay after the late service - or come back - for a tailgate picnic.  Watching the Packer game will be one of the activities together, as we share brats, dogs and enthusiasm!

Sunday, September 18, Honoring Law Enforcement

  • We will honor area law enforcement during our worship services.  Consider whether you have a friend, neighbor or relative, actively serving or retired, you can invite to the service.  We will treat them to the first pancake breakfast of the fall!

Sunday, September 25, Disability Awareness Sunday

  • Lake Street’s 3rd annual Disability Awareness Sunday is September 25!  In addition to a very special Sunday service (more on that later) Fellowship Hall will become an Inclusion Connection Café between services.  You will have the opportunity to chat with someone who has a disability or someone who provides services for people with disabilities.  No matter where you choose to have your coffee and treat, you will make a new friend and learn something enriching.  So do join us in church on September 25th and stay late or come early for Inclusion Connection Café.  Brought to you by GIFT (Growing in Faith Together)

Sunday School for Children and Youth begins September 11

  • Mark you calendar for the return of Sunday School for children and youth  on September 11.  Sunday school programming is offered for preschool through high school, concurrently with our 10 a.m. worship service.   Children and youth begin the service with their family, and then have an opportunity to go to Sunday School right after the children’s message.  Preschool through Fifth Grade will use that schedule each week.

We are preparing promotional materials for fall through Christmas activities at Lake Street.  If you are planning an event or activity for this fall please email Winnie Doxsie or 715-514-0723 with details so it can be compiled and ready for formatting in early August document design.

PACK Event Saturday, August 27th

Change in District Office Site

When we welcome the District Offices to Lake Street in September, they will be on the lower level of the Education Wing.  The two rooms they will use were offices long ago.  This will necessitate some rearranging of storage space - so watch for a meeting soon of how we can best re-organize space for all!
